Maximianus, first reign, 286-305. Antoninianus (Silvered bronze, 22 mm, 3.40 g, 1 h), Lugdunum, 286. IMP C VAL MAXIMIANVS AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Maximian to right. Rev. HERCVLI PACIFERO / Δ Hercules standing front, head to left, holding olive-branch in his right hand and club and lion's skin in his left. Bastien 97. Cohen 280. RIC 372. A very attractive example with a sharp portrait. Good extremely fine.
